About us
Crubby is a product studio based in Milan. We design digital menus for Italian restaurants — one at a time, done well, without rushing.
Our story
It all began with a simple observation: over a summer spent watching restaurateur friends, we noticed every venue was printing dozens of new menus a year. Paper swapped because a dish ran out, because a price went up, because an ingredient was gone.
QR menus and POS apps already existed. But they were built to manage, not to be seen. What was missing was a product that thought of the menu as the venue's calling card: well designed, editable in 30 seconds, visible on a screen in the dining room without looking like an app sitting on the table.
Crubby was born for that. A digital menu the customer sees and says “wow, that's well done” — and that the restaurateur updates from their phone while in the kitchen.
Founder
I design the product, write most of the code, and answer support emails. When you write to fil@crubby.com, I'm the one who replies — not a bot, not a BPO.
Technical + design background. Before Crubby I built web products for other brands, learning what works and what's just market noise. Crubby is the first product where I control the whole cycle: from the physical menu design to the CMS code to after-sales support.
Values
Designed by Italians for Italian restaurateurs. We understand your market, your customers, your regulations.
Every menu is designed by our team as a branding asset. You don't fill in templates — the design follows your identity.
No proprietary hardware, no lock-in. Crubby runs on any smart TV with a browser, on any phone.
How we work
No quarterly release cycles. Every Friday something new goes live and lands in the public changelog. If we don't ship, we don't improve.
One more feature is one fewer feature somewhere else. The product stays simple because we filter out what the average Italian restaurateur doesn't actually need.
Never sold, never aggregated for ad networks, never used for AI training without explicit opt-in. Database in the EU, sub-processors under DPA.
Plans are transparent, upgrades are pull not push. If Essential is enough for you, we leave you on Essential.
Public roadmap, public changelog, public security posture. Marketing is the truth told well, not the truth hidden.

Half an hour together, I'll show you the product. No sales reps, no commitment. Just to see if it makes sense.
