Display · screens and live menus

How do I connect a new screen?+

Open Display → Fleet → select the venue → 'Add screen'. Crubby generates a unique tokenized URL; paste it into the TV browser (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, Fire TV). The screen comes online within 30 seconds.

My screen isn't updating after a change.+

Check in /display/fleet that the status is 'online' (last heartbeat < 5 min). If it's offline, reopen the player URL. If it's online but stuck, try 'Regenerate URL' from the screen page to force a cache refresh.

Can I show different menus on each screen?+

Yes. Each screen has its own slug + scheduling rules. E.g. the dining-room monitor shows starters/mains during lunch shifts, desserts/digestifs at dinner. Configure it in /display/schedule.

What happens if the venue loses internet?+

The screen shows the last cached version of the menu. When the connection returns, it syncs any changes made offline. For redundancy, consider a backup LTE router.

Manager · back office

How do I manage ingredients?+

Go to /manager/ingredients → 'New ingredient'. Set the name, unit of measure and allergens; ingredients can then be pulled into your menu products.

Where do I edit the menu?+

In /manager/menu you'll find categories and products with price, description and allergens. Changes propagate to the connected Display screens.

How do I bulk-upload the menu from Excel?+

/manager/menu-import → paste a CSV with a header (category, name, description, price, allergens). Max 500 rows per import. It maps IT allergens → EU14 automatically (e.g. 'glutine' → 'gluten').
